Why 100 × 90, not 90 × 108?
The flat sheet is sized to drape over a 60-inch-wide queen mattress with 20 inches of tuck on each side plus foot-end overhang. If your mattress is deeper than 10 inches (pillow-top, memory-foam toppers), consider a king instead for comfortable tuck.

Is "Queen" the same in India as in the US?
No. Indian Queen = 72 × 60 inch mattress. US Queen = 80 × 60 inch mattress. US Queen sheets will be too long for Indian beds and bunch at the foot.
What is the difference between Queen and Double?
Queen is wider (72" vs 54"). A Queen flat sheet is 100 inches wide; a Double flat sheet is 90 inches wide. If you share the bed, Queen is the minimum recommended size.
Will a Queen flat sheet fit a King mattress?
No. A King mattress (78 × 72) needs a 108-inch wide flat sheet. A Queen flat (100 inches) will come up short on tuck.
