Cushion Cover Size Guide — 16×16, 18×18, 20×20 Inch Explained

Standard cushion cover sizes: 16×16, 18×18, and 20×20 inches. Choose by use: 16-inch for sofa throw cushions, 18-inch for everyday sitting, 20-inch for floor cushions and reading corners. All Thread Kalaa cushion covers come with hidden zips and are sold as cover-only (inserts separate).

How to pick the right size

1. Sofa — mix 2 × 18-inch at the back and 1 × 16-inch in front. Odd numbers always look more styled than even.
2. Bed — line up 3 × 18-inch across the pillow line.
3. Floor — a pair of 20 × 20-inch covers makes a reading corner.
4. Rule of fill — buy an insert 2 inches larger than the cover. A 16-inch cover needs an 18-inch insert for the plump filled look.
